Approach to a railway crossing

PDR KR Annex 1 (Official text)
Signs 1.4.1–1.4.6 “Approach to a railway crossing.” An additional warning indicating the approach to a railway crossing located outside built-up areas.
Explanation (in plain English)

These signs show how close you are to a railway crossing ahead. The fewer bars — the closer the crossing. They are used only outside populated areas to warn drivers in advance before the main railway crossing signs (1.1 or 1.2). The right-side series (1.4.1–1.4.3) applies to your direction, and the left-side series (1.4.4–1.4.6) serves the opposite one.
