Stop driving if the brake system or steering is not working. Stop driving if the trailer hitch is broken for a combination vehicle. Stop driving if the headlights and rear parking lights are missing or not working on unlit roads during nighttime or in poor visibility. Stop driving if the driver's side windshield wipers are not working during rain or snowfall(***).
If other problems happen on the road that ban the use of the vehicle according to Appendix 1 of the Basic Provisions, the driver must fix them. If the driver cannot fix them, the driver may drive to a parking lot or repair shop while taking necessary safety steps.
The driver must not:
- Drive faster than the maximum speed set by the vehicle's technical specifications;
- Drive faster than the speed shown on the "Speed limit" sign(*) attached to the vehicle;
- Block other vehicles by driving too slowly without a good reason;
- Brake suddenly, unless it is necessary to prevent a traffic crash.
