Водителям мопедов разрешено движение только по правому краю проезжей части в один ряд.
Это означает, что использовать другие полосы для выполнения маневров они не могут.
Поэтому налево поворачивать или разворачиваться водителям мопедов запрещено:
на дорогах с трамвайным движением;
на дорогах, где есть две и более полосы для движения в данном направлении.
Такие ограничения связаны с безопасностью: при выезде на другие полосы мопед оказывается в более интенсивном потоке, где его скорость и маневренность не соответствуют общему движению.

Bicyclists, people using personal mobility devices, and moped drivers must not:
Drive a bicycle, moped, or personal mobility device (if it has handlebars) without holding the handlebars with at least one hand;
Carry cargo that sticks out more than 0.5 meters in length or width from the vehicle, or cargo that makes driving difficult;
Carry passengers unless the equipment or design of the bicycle or personal mobility device allows it;
Turn left or make a U-turn on roads with tram tracks and on roads with more than one lane in that direction. (This does not apply if a left turn is allowed from the right lane, except for roads inside bicycle zones);
Cross the roadway at crosswalks while riding the vehicle (bicycle, personal mobility device, or moped).
